“They are borne in with gladness and joy; they enter the palace of the king.” Psalm 45:16

As members of a religious community, we live a distinctive way of life. Each day is ordered by a horarium (schedule), which includes regular times of communal prayer. We observe our community Constitutions (Rule) and customs and participate in a common apostolate. In addition to the sharing of material resources, each Sister contributes her unique gifts of nature and grace for the good of the community. We wear a distinctive religious habit, which serves as a visible sign of our consecration.

According to the charism given to our founder, we live as a true religious family, bound together by our vows and marked by a self-giving love for each Sister. Expressly chosen by the Lord with all of her uniqueness, each Sister is called to live the “radical expression of the common fraternal spirit which unites all Christians” (Fraternal Life in Community, § 10). Meals, times of recreation, periods of communal work, and the celebration of feasts and holidays are times when the family bond is nurtured. In giving of ourselves in community, we learn to serve one another, to communicate openly, to share our joys and sorrows, to listen, to show loving concern for one another through our prayers, and to give and receive forgiveness. Community is an important place where we strive to live “the bond of perfection:” love (Col 3:14). The oneness between us has its roots in the love of the Trinity and makes the path to sanctity easier for each Sister.

"Consecrated persons are asked to be
true experts of communion and to practice
the spirituality of communion as witnesses
and architects of the plan for unity,
which is the crowning point
of human history in God’s design.”
